Stadsmusikanternes instrumenter ca. 1600-1820 in: Stadsmusikanter i Danmark. En udstilling tilrettelagt af Dansk Folkemindesamling og Musikhistorisk Museum. Katalog under redaktion af Lisbet Torp. Copenhagen 1999. The word 'stadsmusikant' signifies the Danish town musicians, who played an important role in the musical life in the towns as well as in the countryside from the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century. The article, which is a part of an exhibition catalogue, deals with the instruments of the 'stadsmusikanter'. Their use of instruments was rather conservative: the recorder, the viol and the cornett were in use until about 1800. The trumpet was a very important instrument, even used for rural weddings. The article is partly based on research by Jens Henrik Koudal, Dansk Folkemindesamling. The article is in Danish. |
